Launch of Training Activities for Counselors Under EDMAAJ 2 Project in Nablus

As part of the ongoing activities of the youth-focused EDMAAJ 2 project, the inaugural training session for social and psychological counselors was organized at the Golden Old City Hotel in Beit Wazan – Nablus. The event saw participation from 27 male and female counselors representing various educational and social institutions.

The training simultaneously engaged both Group 1 and Group 2 counselors, who were divided into specialized sessions covering:

• Bullying concepts, forms, and characteristics

• Root causes and psychological/social consequences

• A holistic approach to empower counselors in addressing bullying within educational and community settings

This initiative is part of a larger capacity-building and awareness-raising series targeting counselors as key figures in combating bullying and supporting affected students. The training will be complemented by upcoming brainstorming sessions for Group 1 counselors to exchange field experiences and develop practical solutions.

Parallel to these trainings, the project continues to:

✔ Broadcast awareness radio spots on local stations

✔ Implement diverse school activities for students

✔ Promote safe, violence-free school environments
