An awareness-raising activity on local elections targeting students of Kadoorie University in Tulkarm.

Tulkarm – Local Communities Organization, a member of Rased Palestine Coalition, in partnership with the coalition and in cooperation with Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie in Tulkarm, implemented an awareness activity on local elections targeting university students, within the framework of promoting informed civic participation and reinforcing a culture of positive engagement in the electoral process.
The university administration emphasized the importance of such activities in supporting its academic and community mission, and in enhancing students’ awareness of national issues, contributing to building a conscious and responsible generation capable of active participation in public life.
The Student Affairs Department at the university also highlighted the importance of these initiatives in strengthening students’ role in public life and raising their awareness of their responsibilities as active citizens capable of contributing to the development of their communities. In its welcoming remarks, it stressed the importance of integrating the academic role with community efforts in promoting a culture of participation, considering universities as effective spaces for enhancing awareness and responsible dialogue among students.
For his part, Moatasem Zayed, Director of Local Communities Organization, explained that the activity comes as part of the organization’s efforts to promote informed civic participation among youth and to empower them to understand the electoral process and distinguish between accurate and misleading information, contributing to building a more aware and transparent electoral environment.
Rased Palestine Coalition also affirmed the important role that students can play in spreading electoral awareness within their communities, especially with the approaching polling date, which contributes to raising the level of public awareness and encouraging active and responsible participation.
The activity included the distribution of awareness materials on elections issued by Central Elections Commission within the university campus, in addition to students’ participation in disseminating them within their local communities, contributing to expanding the reach of awareness messages and enhancing electoral awareness among citizens.
