RASED Palestine Coalition

RASED Palestine Coalition is an independent national civic platform that works to strengthen democratic integrity and expand public participation through a network of community-based organizations deeply rooted locally and connected regionally.

By combining field expertise with evidence-based approaches, the coalition supports electoral processes, promotes social accountability, and contributes to the advancement of democratic practices in Palestine.


Who We Are

RASED Palestine Coalition is an independent national civic platform formally established in 2022 with the support of the European Endowment for Democracy (EED). The coalition brings together 18 active civil society organizations that work in a coordinated manner to strengthen civic and political participation, support the integrity and transparency of electoral processes, and develop social accountability tools grounded in human rights principles.

The coalition operates under a participatory governance model that regulates member relations through signed Memoranda of Understanding and an adopted institutional charter, ensuring clarity of roles, strengthened internal accountability, and integrated efforts at the national level.

Madarat Center for Community Development coordinates the coalition’s work and oversees its operational and financial management, supported by an executive secretariat representing member organizations.

A democratic Palestinian society that enjoys a safe and inclusive civic space, where public and electoral participation is practiced freely and with integrity, and where fundamental rights and freedoms are guaranteed without discrimination.


Mission

To coordinate the efforts of civil society organizations to empower youth and women to participate in civic and political life, enhance the integrity of electoral processes, develop a sustainable national system for social accountability and democratic oversight, and generate evidence-based knowledge that supports reform and good governance.

Regional Dimension and Arab RASED Network

RASED Palestine Coalition is a founding member of Arab RASED Network, operating within a regional framework that brings together national coalitions and civil society organizations specialized in election observation, promoting integrity and transparency, and expanding civic participation. In addition to Palestine, the network is active in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Morocco.

This network model is grounded in the independence of each national coalition while fostering the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and tools, thereby contributing to the advancement of democratic practices across the Arab region.

Regional engagement has enabled the coalition to benefit from accumulated expertise and advanced monitoring methodologies that have been adapted to the Palestinian context, strengthening its technical capacities and reinforcing its position within the democratic practice community at both national and regional levels.


National Reach and Field Capacity

RASED Palestine Coalition operates through a network of local organizations with deep community presence across all governorates of the West Bank, including urban areas, rural communities, and refugee camps, in addition to partner organizations in the Gaza Strip.

This geographic reach provides the coalition with strong capacity to access communities and implement balanced interventions that respond effectively to diverse local needs.

Membership is open to institutions, individuals, coalitions, and networks.
